Naked, A Living Installation by Eiko & Koma

I'm off to shoot some behind the scenes shots of Eiko & Koma's preparations for their NY Premiere March 29th of Naked, A Living Installation at the Baryshnikov Arts Center.  In case you were unable to catch their month long installation last year at The Walker Art Center here's your second chance!

Stoop to Conquer

I have to say I feel so fortunate for the amazing people that have come into my life and the opportunities to collaborate with artists from so many disciplines.  I'm also excited about the responses I've been receiving from the Industrial Dance series with choreographers Judith Sanchez Ruiz and Simon Courchel.  People are intrigued, and one of the questions I am often asked is about Judith's dress, or the folded paper sculpture, so I wanted to take a moment to share with you all the man behind the design Kentaro Ishihara!  The piece is actually a room divider or screen.  Not only is it's form stunning, but for all of us light lovers it is truly spectacular to view the different tones and textures that are created as light passes through.  You can view more of Kentaro's work at www.stooptoconquer.com.

Perspectives

I'm very pleased to be part of the group exhibition Women in the Heights - Perspectives curated by Andrea Arroyo for the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance in celebration of Women's History Month. The two images selected are from the Industrial Dance series with choreographers Judith Sanchez Ruiz and Simon Courchel and feature a screen created by the talented industrial designer Kentaro Ishiharo.
